Team Development
Judith Michael works with teams facing challenges such as conflict, the integration of new members, merging of departments or organizations, and meeting new goals.
Examples:
- A new team formed by the merger of two organizations was in conflict over their very different styles. Judith worked with them to clarify their vision, align individual and team goals, identify and respect their differences.
- A team was not meeting their production targets and individuals were unhappy over working relationships. Judith worked with them to identify structural issues at the root of their problem and redefine roles and reporting relationships.
- A team's well-liked manager was replaced by a new manager with a very different style. Judith worked with the manager and team to understand their respective styles and negotiate effective ways of working together.
Judith's approach is to:
- Assess the situation via individual interviews, focus groups and/or questionnaires
- Analyze and feedback the results
- Develop recommendations for change in collaboration with the client
- Design and implement specific activities such as conflict resolution, role clarification, visioning, goal setting and relationship building.
As a result of her work, individual and team goals are aligned. Structures are in place to support productivity. Strong leadership, teamwork and healthy relationships contribute to effectiveness and satisfaction. |
